Dianne Kandt, MS, RN has served as the director of Aurora House since its opening in 2010.  With a long career in critical care services, Dianne feels she has finally found the perfect place to practice nursing the way it was meant to be.  It is a place where she can focus on the whole person as a physical, spiritual, and social being.    Dianne came to Aurora House as a graduate student in nursing education from Roberts Wesleyan College.  She designed volunteer training for caregivers based on best evidence and nursing theory as her capstone project.  Dianne  is excited to share the model of the comfort home with a broad audience, and she recently presented at an international conference in San Antonio, Texas.  Aurora House is proud to offer a welcoming learning environment for students from Roberts Wesleyan College, St. John Fisher, Monroe Community College, The Harley School, and Mercy High School.

Karen Kuebler, RN joined Aurora House when the doors opened.  Coming from an acute care environment, Karen also was seeking a place to practice nursing where she felt she could give her patients all they deserve.  Karen’s warm personality and quick smile are treasured by our residents and volunteers.  Already a caring and capable RN, Karen continues to grow in her profession as she pursues classes toward an advanced degree in nursing.  Karen is a wonderful supportive teacher for our guest students and volunteers.  She is also very active in the community helping to share the message of comfort care.
